Eric Claptons Allstar-Revue „Crossroads“: Hier drei Blu-rays gewinnen!

Seit 2004 zählt das von Eric Clapton ins Leben gerufene „Crossroads Guitar Festival“ zu den bedeutendsten Blues- und Rockveranstaltungen. Jetzt erscheint auf zwei DVDs gebündelt eine Auslese des diesjährigen Konzerts im Toyota Park in Chicago. Aus 11 Stunden Programm wurden 40 Performances zusammengestellt. Zum illustren Programm gehören B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Derek Trucks, John Mayer, Bert Jansch, Ronnie Wood, Sheryl Crow und ZZ Top. Den musikalischen Höhepunkt bilden jedoch die zwei Stücke „Voodoo Chile“ und „Dear Mr. Fantasy“, bei denen sich Steve Winwood und Clapton höchstselbst ein musikalisches Stelldichein geben. Das Festival dient der Unterstützung des ebenfalls von Clapton gegründeten „Crossroads Center“ zur Behandlung von Alkohol- und Drogensucht.
