Bruce Springsteen: Hier das Vorwort seiner Autobiografie „Born To Run“ lesen
Vorwort und "Rock'n'Roll Survival Kit" stellt Springsteen auf seiner Website zur Verfügung.
Am 27. September veröffentlicht Bruce Springsteen seine Autobiografie „Born To Run“ – und einen Teil seines Vorworts hat der Musiker bereits am Dienstag (16. August) auf seiner Website herausgebracht. Seit Donnerstag hat der deutsche Verlag Heyne, bei dem die Memorien erscheinen, eine Übersetzung ins Netz gestellt.
Darin schreibt der 66-Jährige von seinen Anfängen als Gitarrist, und wie er sich auf den Straßen des Asbury Park sein Geld verdiente. Auszug:
“I come from a boardwalk town where almost everything is tinged with a bit of fraud. So am I. By 20, no race-car-driving rebel, I was a guitar player on the streets of Asbury Park and already a member in good standing amongst those who ‚lie‘ in service of the truth … artists, with a small ‚a.'“
